On May 17, Taihu Lake Forum opened in Suzhou. Along with the forum, there was a B2B session for high-end equipment and new energy industries. More than 150 entrepreneurs from Japan, South Korea and Jiangsu took part in the session. Also attending the event were Yan Li, deputy chairman of the CPPCC Provincial Committee and Chen Jinhu, mayor of Changzhou.

The session, as part of the forum, aimed to accumulate leading enterprises and hidden champions across all sectors. Twelve programs were signed to settle in Changzhou, ranging from robotics, auto parts and components, smart e-vehicles, and power battery certification. Among them, seven programs from Japanese and Korean enterprises reached an investment of 512 million USD.

According to Yan Li, the provincial government will create a more stable, fair and transparent business environment for enterprises. This session offers a unique opportunity for businesses to expand cooperation and seek common growth.

From the perspective of Mayor Chen, Changzhou has a strong industrial base and vast development potential. As Changzhou aims to become an international star city of smart manufacturing in the hinterland of the Yangtze River Delta, the city welcomes all investors with a good business environment and vast development potential.

High-end equipment and new energy are the key industries during the 14th Five Year Plan in Jiangsu. Changzhou has clustered development in these fields while Japan and South Korea boast leading technologies. Through collaboration, the two sides can tap into the huge market potential.
