On July 8, a batch of genetically modified soybeans imported from Brazil for poultry feed arrived in Changzhou Lu’anzhou Port, which is the city’s first bulk imports of agricultural products. After receiving the inspection requests, Changzhou Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau immediately organized and conducted on-site inspection. This batch of soybeans weighs approximately 300 tons, shipped by a total of 11 containers. According to the Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, they are going to implement tracking supervision on these genetically modified soybeans, so as to ensure that these soybeans are used for feed purposes as specified.
