The Jiangsu Provincial Department of Commerce recently announced the first list of Sino-Japanese and Sino-South Korean demonstration industrial parks in the province. The Sino-Japanese Changzhou Industrial Park in Changzhou National Hi-Tech District (CND) is among the seven parks on the list. Through years of development, CND has carried out fruitful cooperation with its Japanese and South Korean partners. Currently, CND is home to about 180 Japanese or South Korean invested companies, accounting for around 18.3 percent of the district’s foreign-invested enterprises. These companies are mainly involved in engineering, mechanical equipment, automotive and auto parts. Many of them have been named among Fortune Global 500 companies, such as Denso, THK, Bridgestone, Sumitomo Electric, Mitsubishi Electric, Fujitsu, Komatsu, and Hyundai. The Sino-Japanese Changzhou Industrial Park is a cooperation program signed between CND and the Center for International Economic and Technological Cooperation, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Its planning was released on September 28, 2020, with a strategic cooperation agreement signed with Mizuho Bank (China) and Mizuho Bank, Ltd. the same day.
