According to the officially released information from the Jiangsu Provincial Health Commission, on February 5, Jiangsu had 32 newly confirmed cases of pneumonia caused by the novel coronavirus, of which three were in Changzhou.

The three newly confirmed cases in Changzhou came from the same family. They have recently traveled from Wuhan to Changzhou on January 20. The oldest patient was 50, and the youngest was 24. All of them are currently receiving treatment in designated hospitals and are in stable physical condition. 40 close contacts have been found and are now under medical quarantine.

As of February 5, a total of 373 confirmed cases have been reported in Jiangsu, of which 27 cases were confirmed in Changzhou.

Experts urge people to stay at home and avoid public situations. Do not use public transportation if possible. Private car drivers are en-couraged to open windows for ventilation. Wear a mask if you have to go out, and clean and disinfect your hands often. If symptoms such as fever, cough, soreness of throat, chest distress, breathing difficulty, feebleness or diarrhea have occurred, call 12320 (health hotline) or 85683343 (hotline of Changzhou Municipal Foreign Affairs Office for expats) for consultation and seek treatment at one of the designated hospitals if necessary.
