On the afternoon of May 20, deputy mayor Fang Guoqiang met with the delegation of Essen, Germany, headed by Dr. Dietmar Düdden, in the administration center. Fang hoped that the two sides would strengthen cooperation in various fields and jointly promote the projects of Sino-German Innovation Park.

Düdden said that both Changzhou and Essen had attached great importance to bilateral cooperation, and the Sino-German Innovation Park would definitely become a demonstration project.

The Essen delegation’s trip in Changzhou is to discuss the details of Sino-German Innovation Park and participate in the 2014 International Smart Grid Conference for Intelligent Control and Distributed Energy Technologies in Changzhou.

Du Jibin, director of Changzhou Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, Du Wenping, deputy director of Changzhou Municipal Foreign Affairs Office, Xu Xiaobo, director of the Administering Committee of Changzhou Science and Education Town, and Zhang Yu, deputy director of Changzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce, were present at the meeting.
