On April 19 and 20, a Changzhou economic and trade delegation led by mayor Ding Chun carried out economic and trade exchanges in Macao to deepen the cooperation between both sides and accelerate the construction of the Jiangsu-Macao Cooperation Park. On the afternoon of April 19, Ding Chun and his delegation visited Ma Youli, president of the Macao Chamber of Commerce. Founded in 1913, the Chamber is the biggest industrial and commercial organization in Macao with a wide influence. Ding said that at present the construction of the Jiangsu-Macao Cooperation Park has entered a critical period, and he hoped that the Chamber will make full use of its platform and ability of gathering talents to promote the construction and development of the Park. Ma said that Changzhou and Macau are in a position of economic complementarity, and the two sides can carry out cooperation in the areas of finance, scientific and technological innovation, tourism, cultural innovation and so on. The Chamber will also fully support the construction of the Jiangsu-Macao Cooperation Park. On the morning of April 20, the delegation visited Duan Hongyi, general manager of Nam Kwong (Group) Company Limited. Nam Kwong is a central enterprise based in Macao, which is directly under the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC). Its business scopes include crude oil and finished oil, liquefied petroleum gas, trade of consumer goods, hospitality and tourism, real estate management and development, and comprehensive logistics. Ding hoped that Nam Kwong will give full play to its own advantages and deepen the cooperation with Changzhou. Duan said that Changzhou has good industry and market advantages, while Macao has great advantages in capital, platform and policy to help promote the development of Changzhou. Nam Kwong will also actively participate in the cooperation between the two sides.
