According to the Jiangsu Provincial Health Commission, between 00:00 and 24:00, February 13, Jiangsu had 23 newly confirmed cases of the Corona Virus Disease (COVID19), of which five were in Changzhou.

Four of the newly confirmed cases in Changzhou are residents of Jintan district, who were tested positive for the COVID19 based on nucleic acid testing (NAT). The fifth patient, a resident in Kunshan city who is now temporarily living in Jintan, was tested positive for the virus on February 11. All of them are currently receiving treatment in designated hospitals and are in stable physical condition. 47 people who were in close contact with these patients have been found and are now under medical quarantine.

As of the 13th of February, 593 confirmed cases have been reported in Jiangsu, of which 43 cases were confirmed in Changzhou. To date, a total of 12 patients in Changzhou diagnosed with the COVID19 have been cured and have been subsequently discharged from the hospital.

Experts urge people who have traveled to Changzhou from Hubei province or another outbreak area to register at the local community or village committees. You will need to complete a temperature check and report the relevant information. Stay at home for a 14-day medical observation period and pay attention to your physical condition. If symptoms such as fever, cough, chest distress, shortness of breath, fatigue or diarrhea have occurred or occur during the isolation period, call 120 (hotline for emergency care and first aid) or contact your community officers to receive treatment at one of the designated fever clinics.

In order to reduce the risk of cross-infection, please avoid public situations such as parties and gatherings, and do not go to any crowded places.
