Vice provincial governor Xu Ming investigates Changzhou’s municipal solid waste power generation project

  On the morning of March 3, vice provincial governor Xu Ming led the delegates to visit Everbright Environmental Energy (Changzhou) Holdings Limited and investigate the latest development of safe treatment for municipal solid waste and sludge. Vice mayor Zhu Xiaomin accompanied.
  Invested by Everbright, the municipal solid waste power generation project adopts BOT mode and involves the total investment of RMB 530 million. The operation period is 25.5 years. The project construction started from June 2007 and was put into operation in November 2008. It is able to treat 800 tons of daily solid waste and produce 86.15 million kwh of electricity. Last year, it completed treatment of 372,200 tons of waste and produce 101.33 kwh of electricity.
  It is reported that Changzhou has three municipal sold waste incineration sites, namely, Everbright, Dynagreen Holding Group Co., Ltd. and Liyang Waste Incineration Co., Ltd.
  After the investigation, Xu Ming said Everbrights project played a good exemplary role and was worth learning and promoting.
