On the afternoon of January 13th, it was learned from the Municipal Bureau of Commodity Price and the Survey Office of the National Bureau of Statistics in Changzhou that Changzhou’s consumer price index (CPI) in 2015 increased by 1.6% over 2014. According to the statistics released by the Bureau of Commodity Price and the Survey Office of the National Bureau of Statistics, Changzhou’s CPI in 2015 increased by 1.6%, 0.2 percentage points higher than the national pace of growth, and 0.1 percentage points lower than the pace of growth registered in Jiangsu. The prices of food increased by 4.0%. The prices of clothing, and household appliances and maintenance services grew by 3.1% and 2.4% respectively. The prices of transportation and communication reduced by 4.4%. The Bureau of Commodity Price forecasts that Changzhou’s CPI will continue to rise in a moderate pace in 2016.
