Cooper Industries plans to build a production base in China

  On the morning of the 7th, Mayor Yao Xiaodong met with Kirk Hachigian, Chairman of the Board and Global Chief Executive Officer of Cooper Industries, who came to attend the opening ceremony of its subsidiary in Changzhou.
  Cooper Industries is the world's leading manufacturer of electrical products and one of U.S. Fortune 500 companies, which was founded in 1833 and listed in New York Stock Exchange in 1944. It is headquartered in Houston and has more than 31,000 employees and about 100 production bases on five continents.
  Cooper Industries set up Cooper Electric (Changzhou) Co., ltd. in December 2010 and acquired Changzhou Yuhua Electric Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd. in January 2012. On March 7th, Cooper Electric (Changzhou) Co., ltd. was officially opened. Involved the total investment of USD 37.5 million, the company owns the annual capacity of 95,000 sets of explosion-proof control equipments, 60,000 sets of explosion-proof lightings and 1 million sets of spare parts. The estimated annual sales income will reach RMB 720 million.
