The Zhonglou district of Changzhou, with its development philosophy focusing on industrial projects, saw good momentum in fixed-asset investment (FAI) in the first quarter of 2022.

From January to March, Zhonglou鈥檚 FAI expanded 5.5 percent year-on-year, despite a substantial decrease in investments in the month of March due to the resurgence of COVID-19.

Growth has been accelerated by investments in the secondary industry which soared 32 percent year-on-year, of which, investment in projects worth over 100 million yuan accounted for 82.8 percent, driving the district鈥檚 FAI growth by 3.4 percentage points in the first three months.
